A TIME FOR EVERYTHING

Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses.
He sets the time for birth and the time for death.
the time for planting and the time for pulling up,
the time for killing and the time for healing,
the time for tearing down and the time for building.
He sets the time for sorrow and the time for joy.
the time for mourning and the time for dancing,
the time for making love and the time for not making love,
the time for kissing and the time for not kissing,
He sets the time for finding and the time for throwing away,
the time for tearing and the time for mending,
the time for silence and the time for talk.
He sets the time for love and the time for hate,
the time for war and the time for peace.
Too much work really can make a person weak, I just cannot figure out why I seem not to finish all the works in school at the time expected of me. This year I had been transferred to a sixth grader class and I handle everything, I mean all the subjects. Teaching is not a problem with me. I'm happy with children, but what makes me weary are the reports and everything that hindrances the  time of contacts with them. They do not receive the quality of teaching that is due to them. Problems can really be determined by us teachers who really spend more time with school children not the administrators, I suppose. I knew I have not achieved anything if I had not explained a certain topic and for instance you'll just wake up one morning that it's their examination period. How sad.
There are really hidden problems that should be discovered once and for all. No matter how small or big the population is, the number of employed teachers in a particular school should depend on the subjects of the curriculum. I know that teachers are not jack of all trades. Some may be good in English but not in mathematics. Some may be interested in Music but not in History. Because we have different experiences and interests in life and for that matter it has to be consider. I am just imagining of how things would be if additional teachers and classroom will be designated and built in our school.Three subjects per teacher would be great! I do not know when will this be.
But for the meantime, I just enjoy and do what can be done each day. We cannot have everything to transpire in just a few moments. I know that some spare time for the moment should be cut off and spend working to meet the demands of time and work. Despite it all, life has to spent thankfully each day for God blesses those who struggles for good. One last thing that I just could say is: c'est la vie!!
Thanks God it's Thursday early morning.I have seen again the morning star up there, no matter how turbulent the weather sometimes. We really should standstill through the tests of time and be an inspiration to all the children of the world.

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT

We had attended  mass yesterday at 6pm and  here's the Good News:
      Matthew (22.34-40)
When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they came together, and one of them, a teacher of the law, tried to trap him with a question" Teacher, " he asked, " which is the greatest commandment in the law?"
Jesus answered, " Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like this: "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." The whole Law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets depend on these two commandments."

When a person obeys the commandment of God, for sure we love Him. We do not want to fall short of his expectations. We tried so much not to disappoint Him. When we sacrifice out time, our schedule, our work for the sake of attending Mass, we prioritize Him. We all have time in this world, let those moments , precious moments be given to the Holy One.
When you possess that love, then its easy to show love to others too. We live not only for ourselves but for those around us, even for those who cannot repay  us. As the time transverse, what makes us not fulfill this second commandments is because people had change in so many ways,we can never put our trust to anyone, even to our neighbors!! We are all governed by law , the more they are being imposed , the more people become revengeful, they feel that they are being robbed by their freedom. How can we bring back time, how can we give trust? Where is love afterall?
Despite all of these, I knew somewhere that there are few who are worth trusting, who still possess the value of kindness. Modern technology has modernized the way people think. Instead of going to someone's house to apologize, we just text. Have we missed something? Maybe.
No matter how we change ourselves physically or socially, God would still value those who value Him, those who value love....God is LOVE, and we all know that!

The Joys of Human Life

I woke up at 4 a.m. trying to look for something to read. Looking for a strength and inspiration for another 8 hours of working. Then I met Sirach again..
Being independently wealthy or working for a living- both can make life pleasant, but it is better to find a treasure.
Your name can be preserved if you have children or if you establish a city, but finding Wisdom is a better way.
Owning livestock and orchards will make you famous, " but it is better to have a wife you love."
Wine and music can make you happy, but a happy marriage is even better.
Flutes and harps make fine music, but a pleasant voice is better than either.
Gracefulness and beauty please the eye, but not as much as new growth in the spring.
You can't go wrong with a good friend or neighbor, but an intelligent wife is better than either.
Relatives and helpers are good to have in times of trouble, but it will be an even greater help if you have made a practice of giving to the poor.
Gold and silver provide security, but good advice is better.
Wealth and strength give confidence, but the fear of the Lord can give you even greater confidence. When you fear the Lord you need nothing more; it is all the support you need. The fear of the Lord is like a rich garden of blessings; you could not want a more glorious shelter.

Don't Be Presumptuous

Don't rely on money to make you independent. Don't think you have to have everything you want, and then spend your energy trying to get it. Don't think that no one can exercise authority over you; if you do, the Lord is certain to punish you. Don't think that you can sin and get away with it; the Lord does not mind waiting to punish you. Don't be so certain that his mercy is so great that he will forgive your sins no matter how many they are. He does show mercy, but he also shows his furious anger with sinners. Come back to the Lord quickly. Don't think that you can keep putting it off. His anger can come upon you suddenly, and you will die under his punishment. Don't rely on dishonest wealth; it will do you no good on that day of disaster.

Sirach 5(1-8)
In moments of confusion, I try to look for some words to inspire me, to wake me up and to make me strong.
