This morning I discussed with my sixth-grader class the kinds of noun: proper, common, abstract, mass, concrete and collective nouns. Reactions arise during activity period because they find it hard to list down some collective nouns. We don't have computers in our school for the pupils, so they do not have any access in the internet. I advised them to look for any language books available inside our classroom. As much as possible I want them to exposed in reading and other activities that would enhance their vocabulary .I was glad to find out that they were able to come up with the following words- collective nouns:
- team
- crowd
- organization
- swarm
- society
- choir
- herd
- congregation
- troop
- population
- company
- bouquet
- union
- army
- colony
- faculty
- orchestra
- flock
- tribe
